Gonorrhoea (urine) Blood Tests

This test measures the presence of Gonorrhoea in the urine sample.

Gonorrhoea is a sexually transmitted infection caused by the bacterium Neisseria gonorrhoeae.

In males, Gonorrhoea can cause symptoms such as painful urination, discharge from the penis, and swollen testicles. If left untreated, it can lead to complications like epididymitis (inflammation of the epididymis) and prostatitis (inflammation of the prostate gland).

In females, Gonorrhoea can cause symptoms such as increased vaginal discharge, painful urination, and pelvic pain. If left untreated, it can lead to complications like pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), which can cause infertility and increase the risk of ectopic pregnancy.

It is important to diagnose and treat gonorrhea promptly to prevent complications and further transmission of the infection.
