Want to maximize your blood sales? Why not offer phlebotomy services in house! London Medical Laboratory are offering free phle botomy courses for your team members. Our course is split into three sections:
- Theory test - Practical session - Blood drawsTheory test
The theory test is very straightforward. After watching a series of videos, presented by our in-house doctor, Dr Tom Van Den Bossche, you will be asked questions to check your knowledge. Once you have completed this theory module, you can go ahead and book a slot on one of our practical sessions.
Practical session
Practical sessions are usually held at our laboratory in London Battersea. Not local to London? Not to worry! We also host regional sessions, so together we can figure out which location is your best fit.
Blood draws
Once both the theory and practical sessions are complete, all that remains is your 10 blood draws. These can be supervised or unsupervised draws, which you will need to record using our online Blood Draw Form. If your blood draws are unsupervised, you will need to submit a video of the 10th draw to be signed off. Then, once your 10 blood draws have been signed off you will receive a foundational certificate. To receive an Advanced Phlebotomy certificate, continue logging your blood draws and once you have taken over 50 draws, you will receive an Advanced Phlebotomy Certificate.
